Avery Harris ‘13, Founder and CEO of SAvery

By Ryan Jech ’14, VP of Communications, Capital City A&M Club

SAvery is an established Austin based food truck serving grilled cheese sandwiches often to offices across Austin, and at various events for catering. 10% of all revenues are donated to organizations fighting against modern day slavery.

Over the past 2 years I have known Avery Harris ’13; my co-workers and I love every bite of SAvery’s grilled cheese sandwiches! When Avery and her team often stop by our building at Facebook on 300 West 6th Street we are always eager to eat some great lunch!

They always serve fresh ingredients and incredible creations to include my favorites the “Playdate” and “Cookie Dough Eggrolls.” I’m not much of a foodie myself, but I know the cheese is from the best cheese shop in Austin (Antonelli’s); and everything is hand made. Just like food should be prepared and served. I know that every single person is given Avery’s best effort to make the best food possible. She loves cooking, and loves to make the people she meets happy.  When you visit SAvery at one her lunch locations or catering events, you will agree!

Avery embodies the very best of our core Aggie values of self-less service, leadership and excellence.  She financially supports organizations fighting against modern-day slavery (sex-trafficking, child labor) by donating 10% of revenues to them.  As a young entrepreneurial leader in the Austin food truck scene, her ascending drive to find and cook great ingredients, makes SAvery among with the best in the industry. In particular making Austin Not’s top 7 list of best grilled cheese sandwiches:

When you have a chance stop by this motivating Ag’s food truck and take a bite of slavery!
