Austin Aggie Muster 2026

The Capital City A&M Club is honored to host Austin Muster 2026. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

What is Muster?

  • Muster is more than just a ceremony - it’s a deeply personal tribute. Whether two Aggies meet across the globe or hundreds gather in cities and campuses, the spirit remains the same: to celebrate lives lived, memories shared, and the unbreakable bonds of the Aggie family.

  • The tradition dates back to 1883, and its modern form took shape during World War I and again on the battlefields of World War II, where Aggies would answer "Here" for their fallen brothers. Today, names are called aloud, and someone present answers “Here” to signify that the Aggie is with us in spirit.

Austin Aggie Muster

  • The Austin Aggie Muster, hosted annually by the Capital City A&M Club, brings together hundreds of local former students, family, and friends. Our ceremony honors the lives of Aggies connected to the Austin community who have passed during the last year. It’s a night of reverence, reflection, and reconnection - with candles lit, stories shared, and the Roll Call for the Absent read with heartfelt pride.

  • Whether it’s your first Muster or your fiftieth, we invite you to join us. Come stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow Aggies as we honor those who have come before us and reaffirm our lifelong commitment to the Aggie family.

2026 Muster Speaker: Phil Miner ‘81

The Capital City A&M Club is honored to welcome Phil Miner ’81 as our 2026 Muster Speaker. A distinguished entrepreneur, investor, and servant leader, Phil has built and scaled nationally recognized companies while remaining deeply committed to Texas A&M and its students. We look forward to hearing his perspective on leadership, entrepreneurship, and the enduring values that unite us as Aggies.

In 1994, Phil launched The Miner Corporation - a leading national provider of mission-critical services for material handling equipment. Under Phil’s leadership, the company grew to more than 1,500 employees operating across North America. The Miner Corporation was recognized by the Aggie 100 fourteen times and by Inc Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing private companies in America.

Today, Phil is a founder of SideKick Operators, a strategic advisory firm to essential-services businesses. Beginning with 4 employees, Phil’s portfolio of companies now employs more than 10,000 people serving more than 300 of the Fortune 500.

Phil serves as a member of the Board of Directors at OWL Services—a national service provider to petroleum and clean energy markets, Uptime Fleet Services—a western U.S. mobile truck maintenance firm, and as an operating partner for Bridgehead, a single source IT services firm. Phil is a Senior Advisor and investor at Sounder Partners - a Dallas based investment firm providing cultural capital to entrepreneurs building enduring businesses.

At Texas A&M, Phil serves on the Advisory Board of the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship, the Texas A&M Engineering Advisory Council, the AmplifyU Executive Council at The Mays Business School, the Chancellor’s Century Council for the Texas A&M University System, and the Advisory Council at the Harte Institute at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Phil is a past chair of The Association of Former Students. In 2024, Phil was presented with Texas A&M’s Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Phil loves spending time with his family, sport fishing, and mentoring owners of family backed businesses and students aspiring to become entrepreneurs. He and his wife of 42 years, Sue Ellen ’81, have 3 children: Brady, Nick ’10 (Andrea ’10), and Mallory ’12 (Scott ’12) and 5 grandchildren.
