2025 Recipients

Aditi Yarram

Aditi Yarram is a driven high school student with a passion for service, leadership, and learning. She is a DECA state finalist and has led a financial literacy project that empowered students through real-world money management tools. Aditi is also a dedicated PALS mentor, helping younger students navigate school and life with confidence. With interests in psychology and medicine, she has shadowed physicians, volunteered at hospitals, and conducted research on health topics. Outside the classroom, she has been a varsity tennis player, a classical singer, and an active member of her community.

Hadeed Khan

Hadeed Khan is a senior at The Liberal Arts and Science Academy (LASA High School). He has participated in FRC Robotics throughout High School, reaching the State Level 3 years in a row. He now coaches a new community FTC team and has competed all over Texas. He is also the President of his school's Investment Club, placing in the Wharton investment competition and reaching the State level for FBLA. He is also an Officer of his school's Engin club, helping Ukrainian students refine their English. In his free time, he enjoys spending outdoor time with family and friends. Hadeed plans to major in Computer Engineering + Computer Science Track at A&M.

Edwin George

Edwin George attends Stony Point High School and serves as the percussion captain of his band. He actively serves at his local church by leading the youth and playing drums for worship each week. He is also the website manager of three service clubs, and enjoys spending his free time going to the gym, drumming, and being outdoors. Edwin plans to study Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M.

Clare Whitaker

Clare Whitaker is a senior who’s passionate about helping others, performing, and staying involved in her community. She’s active in 4-H and her high school theatre program, and she’s part of the Timothy Team, a campus ministry leadership group, where she leads the Logistics Team. Clare enjoys public speaking and acting, both at school and in the community, and she regularly volunteers through school service projects and the National Honor Society. She also interns at a local preschool and works at Chick-fil-A, balancing a busy schedule with a positive attitude. This fall, Clare will be heading to Texas A&M to major in Special Education, excited to keep making a difference wherever she goes.

Joseph Kumpati

Joseph Kumpati is a senior at Hendrickson High School, and proud to serve as Hendrickson’s Science Olympiad Co-Captain, as well as VP of Hendrickson’s BPA Chapter. He led an national award winning animation as part of competing in the 3D Animation Team for BPA(2nd Place). In addition to his school activities, Joseph has received his 1st Degree Black Belt in Karate. Joseph loves serving his church, as a member of the Sound Tech/ AV team- and he’s determined to pursue his faith by always learning how to love those around him with audacity, capacity, and tenacity. Joseph plans to study Mechanical Engineering through the Gen-Engineering program this fall.

2024 Recipients

Dillon Wold

Dillon Wold, a senior at Westlake High School, is an Eagle Scout and an active member of the National Honor Society and Order of the Arrow. Driven by a passion for giving back, Dillon has dedicated over 350 volunteer hours to various causes, including supporting foster teens, aiding the homeless, assisting food-insecure individuals, and caring for the elderly. In addition to his dedication to service, Dillon has held senior leadership roles in several organizations, including Boy Scouts and the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL). He plans to major in Finance at Texas A&M this Fall.

Merina Joseph

Merina Joseph is a senior at McNeil High School. She serves as the Vice President of McNeil's DECA Chapter and has led her school to success at the International Competition. Additionally, she is a Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debater and currently holds the position of Director of Media and Outreach for the team. Merina is also a member of McNeil High School's renowned ensemble dance team, the Sapphires. In her free time, she enjoys creating jewelry and has even started her own business, WiredByMerina. Merina plans to major in Finance at Mays Business School at A&M and will participate in the University Honors Program.

Jason Xiong

Jason Xiong attended Westwood High School and is a proud candidate within the IB program. He is also a National Merit Finalist and club officer for NHS and IBSO. Jason enjoys spending his time outdoors, and as captain of the tennis team, he is blessed to be around such a supportive community. He also serves at his local church by leading group games and playing drums for worship. Jason hopes to study Computer Science through the Engineering Honors program in the fall.
